Scientific Name: Hericium erinaceus
Nickname: "Lion's Mane"... because it looks like a shaggy lion's mane!
Fun Facts About Lion's Mane:
- Commonly used as part of gourmet cooking. It's delicious with butter!
- Most famous for supporing brain health and prevent/treating neurodegenerative disease
- It prefers to grow on living or dead hardwood trees. It's not meant to grow on grains!
