Why Is Steep Into It More Expensive?

quality ingredients

Many of you have asked, so here's the deal....

There are two main reasons why Steep Into It premium mushroom extracts and wellness teas are more expensive than other brands...

We Only Us the Highest-Quality Ingredients

Our ingredients cost anywhere from 3-5 times more than many other suppliers. We spent a year doing our research to find the world's best ingredients, and then we priced our product based on meeting our strict requirement of only using top-quality ingredients.

Our mushrooms are all wild-sourced or grown naturally on wood or sawdust, whereas most mushrooms are grown in labs on grains such as rice or oats. These substrates lack the proper nutrients to grown a nutritionally dense mushroom. And we only use the fruiting body, not the mycelium. Also, our mushrooms are gently extracted to make the nutrients more easily absorbable.

All of our wellness teas are organic and non-GMO, and we source from farms that prioritize taste and nutritional quality, so you can truly feel the health benefits of more energy, restful sleep and digestive support.

Also, unlike most other brands, we only use plant-based PLA tea bags whereas most tea bags are made of plastic or are held together using chemical adhesives that can leach into your tea once steeped in hot water.

Sustainable packaging

Finding a sustainable packaging is very tricky. Most packaging is made from plastic and is destined for landfill, because unfortunately this is the cheapest option that the market incentivizes.

Also, glass or metal packaging is very energy-intensive to make, and if it ends up in a landfill, then it is ultimately worse than the plastic alternative.

Even most "compostable" packaging still has a plastic film barrier required to keep the product inside fresh, which could take up to 200 years to break down in a landfill.

Due to these reasons, we chose to use the best packaging we could find, which is post-consumer recycled pouch made from all recycled materials using non-toxic dyes. Even if it ends up in a landfill and not recycled, it is made from recycled and natural materials which have met the end of their useful life.

Unfortunately, this packaging costs 2-3 times as much as other pouches.

So there you have it! We wanted to provide clear transparency about why we charge the prices we do, so that you understand the VALUE behind what you are getting. A premium product that will deliver the desired health benefits, while tasting good and also not contributing to the mass consumer waste problem.
